Our story
Founded by Bas Coppelmans.
The founder of VANC, Bas Coppelmans, came to scalp aesthetics after a career working with high-end clients in the broader cosmetic industry across Belgium and the Netherlands. The frustration he saw repeatedly — both from clients and from peers — was the same: hair-loss patients shuffled into rushed consultations, quoted aggressive same-day discounts, and sold packages they did not need.
VANC was founded as the alternative. A clinic where the consultation is genuinely free, where the answer is sometimes "no, this is not for you," and where every package includes a year of follow-up because the year after is when the real work happens.
Today, VANC operates from our flagship studio in Antwerpen, with Utrecht, Eindhoven and Amsterdam opening soon, and partners with a single, audited international surgical team for the hair-transplant procedures themselves. Every patient is seen at intake by the founder personally, and every aftercare review is conducted at our studio.

Trained in scalp aesthetics
Our founder Bas Coppelmans trained in advanced scalp micro pigmentation under specialised practitioners across Europe before opening VANC. Continuing education and case-review days are mandatory at the clinic.
International surgical partnership
For hair-transplant patients, we partner with a single, vetted international surgical team — chosen for graft survival outcomes, surgeon-led protocols, and willingness to refuse cases that should be refused.
Quietly multilingual
Consultations and aftercare run in Dutch, English and French. Clinical documents are shared in your language of choice without compromise on medical clarity.

How we operate, in detail
Single-use everything
Every needle cartridge, every blade, every pigment cup is single-use. Disposed of in front of you at the end of the session. Lot numbers stored on file for traceability.
CE-certified pigments only
Carbon-based pigments, calibrated for European skin tones, formulated to fade through neutral grey rather than blue or green. The brand is named on your file.
Documented outcomes
Standardised photographs at intake, day-one post-op, week 2, week 6, month 4, month 8 and month 12. Outcomes are measured, not assumed.
No high-pressure selling
Free intake means free intake. We will not quote prices the same day you ask whether the procedure is right for you. No pressure, no countdown timers, no "today only" discounts.
Continuing education
Quarterly case-review days. Annual training. Membership of the relevant professional bodies in Belgium and the Netherlands. Standards do not stay current on their own.
Surgical partner audited annually
For hair transplant patients, the international surgical partner is audited annually for outcomes, hygiene protocol, and team composition. We do not rotate partners; consistency matters more than novelty.
