Hair transplant

Eyebrow Transplant

Permanent brows that grow naturally — a one-time alternative to microblading for over-plucked, scarred or sparse brows.

Session length

3–5 hours

Grafts per brow

150 – 400 single-hair grafts

Recovery (visible)

5–7 days

Final result

6–9 months

Technique

DHI (Choi pen)

Donor

Scalp (above ear)

An eyebrow transplant uses single-hair scalp grafts to restore brow density permanently. Unlike microblading — which lasts 12–18 months and requires regular re-pigmentation — a transplanted brow grows naturally and lasts a lifetime.

The technique of choice is DHI: the Choi implanter pen places each single-hair graft at the precise angle, depth and direction required for a natural brow.

Designing the Brow

A great eyebrow design respects three anatomical reference points: the medial point (above the inner eye corner), the arch (vertical line through the iris), and the lateral termination (line from the nose corner through the outer eye corner).

The brow direction changes along that line — head-of-brow grows upward, body slants outward, tail grows down. Implanted hairs must follow it precisely.

How It Differs From Microblading

  • Microblading deposits pigment in the dermis — fades in 12–18 months
  • Eyebrow transplant places living follicles — lasts a lifetime
  • Microblading requires re-pigmentation every 1–2 years
  • Transplant requires weekly trimming because hair grows continuously
  • Microblading has zero downtime; transplant has 5–7 days of crusting
  • Long-term cost: microblading wins year 1–2, transplant wins from year 3 onwards

Recovery

Mild redness around the brow for 4–7 days. Tiny crusts fall off by day 10. Transplanted hairs shed at week 2–3 (expected shock-loss). New growth from month 3, density at month 6, final result at 6–9 months. Brow transplants mature faster than scalp transplants.

Frequently asked

Honest answers

Will the transplanted brows look natural?

Yes. Single-hair grafts placed at low angles produce brows that look and grow naturally. Most people who notice the result simply think the brows have always been that shape — they do not detect a procedure.

Why do I need to trim them?

The implanted hairs are scalp hair and grow at scalp speed (about 1 cm per month). To maintain a natural brow shape you trim every 7–14 days. Many clients find this a small price for a permanent solution.

Is this better than microblading long-term?

It depends on your priorities. Microblading is faster, cheaper short-term, and zero-downtime — but requires regular re-pigmentation forever. A transplant is a one-time investment, has a recovery week, and lasts a lifetime. From year 3 onward the cost balance tips toward the transplant for most patients.
